Before there was a hello and after goodbye, I survived.

“ Hello, it’s nice to meet you?” Who knew at this moment you’d be the one to teach me, then leave me. Your smile intrigued me to believe we were something worth trying. From our first kisses to joking around in the kitchen, getting to know you was bliss. Blissfully intertwined in learning your soul, body, and mind. You were mine. I, yours. After our first hello and last goodbye, I wonder why we didn't try. To understand that sometimes the purpose between two souls lies beyond time. Once upon a , we were deeply invested in our connection. I count my blessings, you were amazing but the issues we never addressed them. In our lives we were blessings, uplifting one another but simoustanelously projecting. Passed pains, built up emotions, began switching up faster on each other than a car changing lanes. Full speed into moments of darkness, bypassing exits, crashing went from happiness to stressing. You lose the heart you thought you’ve won, the connection has disconnected. “Can you hear me now?” The love turns pain, sweet moments gone sour. The route to the canal of love we’ve built, aches. The stream of love once full of passion begins to be filled with hate. Feelings change as seasons, the cycle begins to become full of reasons you know it’s time to leave and... Things come full circle.

“Goodbye, it was a pain and pleasure knowing you.” Who knew the smile that once intrigued me would deceive me to believe we were meant to be. Untwined, I am no longer yours, nor you mine. Still I am thankful for our lessons, I have grown and it is because of our connection. I’ve overcome and become better prepared for my next blessing, so why stress and question. The end of a relationship doesn’t always have to split your heart apart but provide you insight on the strength that lives within you through these perceived painful experiences of life.

I will love you from a distance and hold dear the moments we shared. I still care though I will no longer be there in spirit my love waves will travel at the speed of light at every thought of... No distance or time apart will ever erase or break the bond from our once upon a time.

Before there was our first hello, and now after our last goodbye, I will survive.
